Introducing Mist, Head of Artist Experiences.

Mist is a professional freelance illustrator.

We're excited to have him join the SuprTeam, and we think you will be too. So without further ado, we present to you the amazing Mist (and some of his art too!) .

How long have you been an artist?

Mist: I've been doing art for about 6 years now! I doodled a lot as a kid, but only took the plunge of properly learning to draw later in life. It's been a MASSIVELY rewarding skill to learn and I can't possibly recommend enough that everyone needs to do it. Many people assume it's talent, but in reality it's all practice. Lots of practice.

Do you have any artists that inspire you?

Mist: Ooh, love this question. For contemporary digital artists, I take a lot of inspiration from Laurel D Austin and Cole Eastburn. Just really fantastic character designs and compositions. As far as older artists go, I love Frank Frazetta (my hero), J.C. Leyendecker, and Herbert Draper.

When and how did you find SuprSketch?

Mist: I found SuprSketch in early 2025 after it had been posted in a channel for professional artists, and I initially liked the prospect of easily recording Photoshop timelapses. It's wild Adobe hasn't implemented that feature yet, right? Then I discovered all the other bits (streaming art with ease, supporting my art without worrying about social media algorithms, live desktop wallpapers) and fell in love with the project.

What do you like about the SuprCanvas™?

Mist: It's all about supporting human artists. That's the core value and it absolutely shows. I can easily stream or record my process with one click, and I don't have to go through the hassle of OBS or Youtube/Twitch to do it. Plus the prospect of having my digital paintings streamed in an art gallery or museum installation is super exciting! Being an artist on the internet, you don't often have that opportunity to see your works in real life.

How do you see the SuprCanvas™ being used in the next five years?

Mist: Going forward, I think the value of the artistic process is going to increase tenfold, and the SuprCanvas™ is a brilliant way of displaying it. I've met digital artists who can paint like the Renaissance masters, yet their work goes underappreciated. Being able to seamlessly show that process and even show it live in art galleries is going to be fantastic. And hopefully encourage more people to learn to draw!
